Talking about it in its current state, the Support system has been changed and I do not think that it is possible to contact them regarding bans any more at all (yet people somehow find a way to submit a ticket, even if it is incorrect category), which makes the information in the pinned thread become outdated, in regards of what to do in such situation. Then, they implemented a direct email address to which users were able to send an email, including their account name to have their ban reviewed and potentially automatically removed if it was false. They most likely escalated the case to the VAC team who then reviews it again to investigate, meanwhile Support either sends back a message saying that the ban was correct (which is usually the first reply) or that the ban was removed. You could contact them via Support before but of course Support was never able and will not be able to remove any bans. That of course including claims of false bans being investigated. VAC bans are audited & checked for accuracy regularly by the dedicated team and a false ban usually affects more than one person (unless it is some never seen before program which not many people know about). There is no direct way of appealing a ban. Which leads to an article that offers no user input. The closest method is: My Account > I have a different issue with my account > Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) System > I've been VAC banned. That link (steam support) has dozens of drop downs, and NONE of them lead to a section where you may appeal a VAC ban.

However, there is a major issue with these answers. If you believe you have been banned for an unjust reason then you must raise the issue with Steam support. If you believe that you got false VAC ban please contact Steam Support If I were to be invalidly VAC banned (I know VAC ban is 'flawless' according to Valve, but flatter me and assume I have no reason to lie and waste my time writing this) how may I appeal a VAC ban? Don't get me wrong, I have searched this question for a while before writing this, however the only answers for this question include:Īll VAC bans are permanent.
